 A total of 103 people, including 96 passengers and 7 crew, were evacuated in the fire that broke out on the excursion boat named 'Eagles' near Marmaris' Goat Island at 16.25 on Sunday, July 14. A total of 17 people were injured in the incident, 14 lightly and 3 seriously. Of the three people referred to Muğla Training and Research Hospital, M.B.  Since the day of the accident, an investigation and inquiry has been launched by the South Aegean Coast Guard Command upon the instructions of the Marmaris Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Captain E.K., who was detained regarding the cause of the fire. and boat owner S.D., in their first statements, stated that the fire may have been caused by the generator. It was stated that an expert report was awaited to determine the exact cause of the fire on the boat, which completely burned and sank after all the interventions made on the day of the incident, while the owner of the boat, S.D., was referred to the Marmaris Courthouse after being detained by the Coast Guard teams. and Captain E.K. were released by the court on condition of judicial control. 
 A large-scale administrative investigation into the accident continues.
