Class Started in 850 Schools

He stated that in the 2024-2025 academic year, a total of 168 thousand 062 students started education and training in 850 public and private schools in Muğla this year with 15 thousand 515 teachers and administrators. Governor Dr. İdris Akbıyık,

“With our work, we prioritize education investments in Muğla. "We have prepared for this academic year with an educational infrastructure above the country average in many indicators of education such as the number of students per classroom, the number of students per teacher, schooling rate, and technical equipment," he said. /p>

“We will continue our efforts to create educational environments worthy of Muğla by increasing the number of modern and safe schools that comply with the requirements of the age, and to raise the bar of education higher by completely ending dual education. With this target, in the last two years, our Ministry has transferred 436 million 537 thousand 661 TL resources to the construction of 14 new and modern schools, excluding charitable investments. This year, along with our newly built schools, a sports hall, a cafeteria for 200 students, and a hostel for 100 students were added to our education community.”

Governor Akbıyık explained that 50 schools and 110 buildings have been strengthened, made earthquake resistant and completely renovated with state resources in the last two years, and added that, within the scope of the "Disaster Risk Management in Schools" project, 4 schools that were demolished because they were not earthquake resistant will also be restored. He stated that it is planned to be completed next year.
